This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal data when you use our website or Android app available on the Google Play Store.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and city, provided during registration or profile updates.
  • Authentication Data: If you sign in using Google Sign-In, we receive your basic Google profile (name, email address, and profile picture) as authorized by you. We do not receive your Google password.
  • Usage & Technical Data: IP address, device type, operating system, app version, log data, and pages/screens visited. This is used for security, diagnostics, and to improve the Service.
  • Cookies (Website Only): Our website uses cookies for session management and preferences.

What we do NOT collect: We do not collect precise or approximate location, contacts, SMS, call logs, camera or microphone data, photos, files/documents from your device, health or financial information, or biometric data. We do not use the Android Advertising ID and do not serve third-party advertisements.

3. Android App Permissions

The AimSaarthi Android app requests only the minimum permissions required to function, such as Internet access for connecting to our servers. We do not request access to sensitive device permissions (location, camera, contacts, microphone, SMS, storage of personal files, etc.).

4. How We Use Your Data

  • To create and manage your account and authenticate logins.
  • To provide, maintain, and improve our services and content.
  • To respond to your queries and provide customer support.
  • To send important service updates and security alerts.
  • To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or misuse.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers. We may share limited data only with:

  • Service providers (e.g., hosting and email delivery) strictly to operate the Service, under confidentiality obligations.
  • Google Sign-In, solely to authenticate your login. Google's use of the information it receives is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Legal authorities, when required by applicable law or valid legal process.

We use industry-standard safeguards, including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, access controls, and regular reviews, to protect your data. However, no method of online transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., transaction or audit records).

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by:

  • Using the “Delete Account” option within the app or on the website (under Profile / Settings), or
  • Emailing us at support@aimsaarthi.com with the subject “Account Deletion Request”.

9. Your Rights

  • Access, update, or correct your personal data.
  • Request deletion of your data (see Section 8).
  • Withdraw consent for data processing (this may limit your use of the Service).

10. Children's Privacy

Our Service is intended for a general audience, including students who may be under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you are under 18, please use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal data without parental consent, please contact us at support@aimsaarthi.com and we will promptly delete it.
